How long does grief therapy take, and when can I expect to start feeling better?Grief therapy looks different for everyone—some people find that just one session brings enough relief, while others may lean on therapy for several years. Healing doesn’t follow a set timeline, and how long it takes to feel “better” varies from person to person. The important thing is to give yourself the permission to move through your grief at your own pace, whether that means brief support or a longer journey.

Does everyone need grief therapy or support groups?Grief counseling or groups to help with grief symptoms are not necessary for all people experiencing a loss. Grief is a natural and individual process, and people cope with it in various ways. While some individuals may find talking helpful and beneficial in processing their grief, others may find solace and healing through other means such as support from friends and family, religious or spiritual practices, journaling, or engaging in activities that bring them comfort. However, there are certain situations where grief therapy may be particularly beneficial or even necessary. If you are considering asking for support, please reach out.
